Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD)

An organization committed to supporting and advocating for individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), CHADD was founded in 1987 to combat the isolation, misunderstanding, and lack of resources faced by children and adults with ADHD and their families. At a time when ADHD was widely misunderstood and often mischaracterized as a behavior issue or lack of intelligence, CHADD emerged as a vital source of education, empowerment, and community for those affected. Through outreach, awareness, and support, CHADD continues to promote greater understanding and acceptance of ADHD in schools, healthcare, and society at large.
